Hey guys, Putting feelers out to see if people are interested in running a Shadowrun game. The best slot I have available is Sunday at 7 East. I would miss one week a month for another meeting obligation, but that means we can do 3 weeks a month (or so). Thoughts? Game Time: Changed to 8 east due to several people not able to play at 7 east. Location: Europe, starting in Vienna (though you can be from anywhere). Strongly recommend you take at least a couple ranks in German (or have a linguasoft). Year: 2073 Officially yes: Tsig - Driver/gunslinger Gihzmo - Decker/Hacker Hakiyah - Drone Rigger Tzeentch - Spy/Face Myuu Tom (friend of Demon) Solis Obscuri Rose (Demon's Wife) - Know-it-all Mage OverdriveMT - Tank G S Ticklestick - Mage or Adept Steel Bear - Demolitions Gespenster Ghiest - Street Samurai Damion - Technomancer Maybe: Dihm MindWyrm
I really wanted to get into Shadowrun, but never had the chance so I would be up for it. My only problem is I probably could only show up for some nights because I have my son every other weekend. I could be there after 8 on Sundays though. I have a rulebook somewhere... but I have no idea what edition it is, got it back in the 90s.
Might be able to swing this. Can't guarantee of course, but I'm usually free by 8:00 on Sundays. Always been interested, but the Genesis game is the only one I ever got to play.
If we start at 8 east, I can play til 11 east. That gives 3 hours, which is enough if we aren't talking too much BS 8) That work better for everyone? Also, need an official show of hands for who is interested. If we have enough, I can kick this off on the 21st, if not then we won't be kicking anything 8)
I'd love to, but I'm booked/out-of-town the 21st of April, and the 5th and 26th of May... that doesn't seem like an auspicious start.
Reminds me, i visit family one sunday a month, and i don't usually know in advance when that will be.
Best part about Shadowrun, usually very easy to get guest appearances and partial participation. As long as we finish a run a week, it won't much matter. 8)
Alright, let's pound out some specifics.... Year: 2072 Location: Europe (will travel), home country and language is very important, but everyone will speak a common language as well. Thinking German here. Some specific info about the campaign: governments are slightly more powerful and they share information better. SINs are universal through a lot of Europe, so be very careful here. The mega-corps are still around and going strong, watch em.
Some background info on Europe in the sixth world can be found here: http://shadowrun.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Countries_of_Europe Of note, Ireland is now an Elven enclave known as Tir na nog, and the Allied German States is home to the worlds largest AAA corporation, Saeder-Krupp (run by this clever fellow.)
I think what I have is the original Shadowrun ruleset.. I do not know how much it has changed. Mine is based in 2050, and the book is from 1989. Nice book though, hardback and in great shape. Great art in it.. Is there still a decker archetype?
Sooo... the starting rule book for this is $45. Anyway to get a pdf version cheaper? [edit] nevermind, found one for 15 [edit2] Can someone help me out with character creation some evening this week? This looks like a complicated mess.
It looks like the old Decker is now a "Hacker" archetype, and everything is accessible on wireless via Comlink.
