Shadowrun 4th Edition

There are a few ways to do a decker in 4th edition. Your typical decker uses their comlink to accomplish everything. There is also a technomancer which is a "magic" decker.

And for help, I can help a bit during the day on Monday or Tuesday. I won't be around Wednesday evening to Friday morning.

 

Found this for character creation. I have the core rulebook PDF, I am going to try to sit down and read it over the next couple days.

Updated first post with list of players.

I have several that I am not 100% sure on if they are joining or not, so let me know if you want in.

They are: Dihm, Rose (my wife), Solis, and SteelBear (yes, we have room)

All the rest of ya, put a rough role you want to play so everyone can plan around it. Everyone will have their own characters, background, contacts, etc. But we don't want a party of 10 Street Sams.

 

OH man! This is just right up my alley. I've DM'd Shadowrun for years and have over 50 of the books from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ed. It would be so awesome to be just a player again.
Time permitting count me in for some guest appearances until I can work out some schedule to make a permanent spot.

 

I'll go with an Adept...not sure what kind yet. I'm still trying to come up with Aspects for my Dresden Files character for my friends campaign.

FYI, the chummer chargen program not only builds characters, you can also add additional sourcebook material from all the major sourcebooks, and when you're done, it also functions as an interactive character sheet while you're playing.

 

Yeah, once you figure out how to work it maybe...I'm still working on that


Also, I want to be something like this.

 

That is a street samurai, should be heavily cybered.

 

And it outputs your character sheet to an easy to read html file for other's viewing or printing. My character (unfinished) is in the dropbox if you want an example.

As a side not, while i'm not the most up to date in the rules yet, i have got chummer pretty much figured out. If you want to use it and need a hand, just catch me on ts.

I think I am going for a hacker/Sniper. Focusing on Hacking, information control and sniping with smartlink. Backup weapon will be a smartlink submachine gun. Then if all else fails and I have no other weapons I have a cyber submachine gun and a cyber blade in each hand. I am not designing him to be strong, but just to be able to defend himself if needed. The main weapon he will be focusing on is the sniper rifle and hacking.

My major active skills are Forgery (False ID), Hacking, Hardware, Software, Cyber combat,Computer, Data Search, Electronic Warfare and Sniper Rile.

 

that long range riling can be devestating.

 

Can I change to be the Driver/Gunslinger of the group? Dual Pistols/Knives and the ability to drive just about anything that rolls or flies.

 

I've got a demolitions character in the works, if he passes GM approval. A moving truck full of explosives is a good idea, right?
