Wow. Not impressed. Looks like Battlefront 2 with some shiny paint and less features. Anybody else think those fighters were somehow managing to move slower than prop planes? There are a MASSIVE number of Star Wars mods for every game you can think of, and I'd rather play any one of them, and wow that came out hostile.
yowzers, didnt think it would be possible for me to be more disappointed with this game that "gameplay" footage, early or not, was fucking abysmal. holy arcade shooter batman, guess they're aiming for the "i banged your mom last night" 10-12 year old demographic
Wait, they had no space battles, this had space battles. It was labeled 'First Assault'. Is this even Battlefront footage? If it is, its sooo early version that it doesn't even have proper animations in yet, I wouldn't trust that very much
The footage that Ike posted was pre-alpha in-game footage of Battlefront 3 just before Pandemic shut it's doors. So yes, it looks bad. Yes, it looks 'meh, but it was original Battlefront by the original Devs. Doesn't have anything to do with EA's version.
Yeah. Pre-EA. Notice the change in attitude; EA is trying to strip features (probably to add later via DLC). Where as the original devs where trying to think of everything they could add, such as combined space and ground combat. Even with dated graphics, I'd play the heck out of it.

sounds like the game is getting shittier and shittier. its starting to sound like pure twitch fest. Battlefront 2 was fast paced but it required tactics. you couldn't just throw numbers at the other team.
Yes lets gut more stuff out of the game please. This thing needs to be as dumbed down as possible since this is aimed at the lowest common denominator for gamers and, well most console players are ignorant plebs that still buy CoD every time a new one comes out.
main force to take a point with 1 or 2 smaller flanking forces? hell for the flanking force 2-4 people is usually enough depending on class. I just remember that I almost never used the heroes unless there was a large reinforcement thing (like my team was far lower then the enemy team). I'm actually fine with the no class thing in the battlefront EA/dice is making but thats probably due to me almost exclusively playing the class that had the blaster rifle.
I swapped classes all the time. If the team deployed a bunch of drodikas or something you'd have to take the Jet trooper, for example.
What I'm gathering... The original non-EA version was going to suck and be a shitty game of speeders going at speed of light and all sorts of lame and canon-but-doesn't-feel-right bullshit. Now the EA is removing all that shit that essentially breaks any SW immersion and other capacity for the game to be enjoyable, though everyone will just buy that game breaking shit on day 1 as DLC and then it will suck every bit as much as the alpha footage. And if you don't buy the day 1 DLC it will only have like 1 map and nothing, not even weapons and only afk's sitting at spawn without any weapons. Another one of these things that I'll remember to check couple of times per month just in case there was some radical change. Probably will just forget about it in the next few months and be very, very mildly irritated when the name shows up in the news.

After reading the details behind it, I'm saying fuck no. I learned my lesson through the Battlefield franchise and they shall not fuck me again. I won't allow it.

start with a knife. You have to spend three weeks grinding knife skills before you can pick up a pistol. Or you can pay $5.
