Bought independence last night. Im like the speed. But im away for the weekend.

 

friendly tier 6 cruiser drivers are pissing me off. they arn't targeting and shooting enemy aircraft down so the enemy carriers fighters end up shooting all my aircraft down.

 

They saw the "protips" video about turning your AA off "to avoid being detected" lol

 

They arnt useing the AA improvemnt consumable either.

 

Yea but you never know. I games players will do everything wrong that can be done wrong. They'll even invent new ways of doing wrong. Simple design decisions can have irreversible unforeseen consequences.

on an unrelated not i think it started yesterday and goes till the patch on the 19th if you sink 4 or more ships in one battle in a tier 4 or higher you can get the tier 5 german cruiser or russian DD to use. any experience gained will go towards the tier one of that nation. you only get the ship till the patch then it's gone (till you get it again after grinding to it). for the german cruiser you have to get 4 kills in a japanese ship. be in an american ship to get the russian DD.

Path to the Königsberg (German tier V Cruiser)

• During Sea Trials: Sink four enemy ships in one battle (Random battles only), while commanding any Japanese vessel tier IV or higher.

Path to the Ognevoi (Russian tier VI Destroyer)

• During Sea Trials: Sink four enemy ships in one battle (Random battles only), while commanding any American vessel tier IV or higher.

Further conditions

• You will not be able to sell the test ships during the event.
• The event ships will earn Credit and XP income like any other vessel.
• A Port slot and a Commander with three skill points are included with each ship.
• All modules on both ships will have a cost of one XP and one Credit.
• Both test ships will be removed from your account once the event is over.

As a bonus, all XP gained on each of the test ships will be transferred to the tier I ship on its respective tech tree. The Crew XP earned by each test ship Commander will be transferred to the respective Commander of each tier I ship on the new tech tree.

 

But do you get to keep the extra ship slot?

 

You should. One for each nations starter ship.

 

Only during the test, as soon as its over all of the free stuff is taken back.

 

I mean the new nations you should get the starter tier 1 ship free and a slot. But i dont know for certain.

 

so hard to get 4 kills, got to 3, and got the last one sniped

 

I have gotten 4 kills a few times and 5 once or twice but not in a few weeks.

 

russian DDs (and the the tier 1 cruiser) and german cruisers are out. not much to say yet since I only have the tier 2s. also some halloween event soonish. which they are doing a thing from the USS hornet (the ship itself)

Dresden (german tier 2) is pretty much a slightly faster st louis but with less range on it's guns (and lower caliber i think) kolberg seems similar. though i don't have that yet. russian dds could be fun but that torp range is going to be painful. esspecially if you used mostly japanese dds before. if you did american dds it won't to bad of a change.

 

Konigsburg, sailed around an island into a formation of 2 Colorado and a New Mexico, torp the colo's down and burn the NM enough that a friendly carrier killed it, sailed into the sunset also known as the combined torp launch of two tier 6 Japanese carriers arrayed around me in a 360 coverage. I was fucked, but didn't give a damn, both of those Colo's = more than 5x my tonnage apiece.

 

So, being fashionably late as I like to be, I've actually started playing this (yes, US server).

I'm power-levelling up the US BB line, but I dabble in the other classes as well. Currently with the upgraded Wyoming at Tier IV and enjoying the hell out of this.

 

Wanted: Competent CA's to babysit this BB and protect him from the nasty DD's who mangle me with such ease. Do this and my guns are yours, and you may direct long range death as you please.

I've becomes rather proficient at the big calibre guns and the BB playstyle - I like cruisers too and currently also have a Phoenix.
