that makes me alot more interested in the game. less griefing (hopefully). maybe for my birthday (end of march).
Riot shield and deployable turret look really cool. I like the little seeker grenade that rolls around searching for somebody to hug.
is there going to be a hardcore server so I don't have to put two clips into someone for them to go down. you know something along the lines of more real life and less arcade. i also like how everyone is running around with 3 to 4k dollar weapons systems like they are just everywhere. just saying but if someone was running around with a kriss vector sbr and a bushmaster ACR that guy is most likely getting a bullet to the head from me. bushmaster ACR are also not that good same as the scar 16. only the scar 17 is good but a AR-10 is still preferable over the scar 17 because of readily available replacement parts compared to it. which is why the M16 is still better then the scar 16.
well sounds like i'll be waiting until after this comes out to consider a purchase. the things he complained about (repetitive, uninteresting gameplay and enemies being bullet sponges) were some of my biggest concerns with the videos i've seen. no doubt it'll be fun with a group, just about anything can be, but it seems to be a game trying to do everything...it's a tactical open world shooter RPG MMO hardcore pvp casual pve RNG lewtz reputation grind post-apocolypse extravaganza!
I'm definitely interested and will probably look for a good sale. I don't see myself paying full price. EDIT: Also IGN's review is much more positive and a little more in-depth.
From the guys who brought you Battle Field Friends, Neebs Gaming on the Division From their take on it and the video I've seen with game play I'm not liking the really bullet sponge looking play. I've played bf3&4 almsot exclusively on hardcore and enjoy Arma and R6|Siege's damage models. The idea that more than one head shot is necessary to take someone out always bugs me.
Shocking that IGN would have a positive review of a major game. We're there pictures of boobs in the advertising too?
kinda funny that ubisoft is putting out 2 tom clancy games (this and R6 siege) in a short time. and yeah i don't see paying full price. this will probably last longer than star wars battlefront.
they really need a hardcore mode with more realism and none of the silly arcade bullshit. that right there is what is stopping me from buying the game right now. I cant stand having to put multiple magazines into a person so they can die in a video game. if I wanted that I would play halo but I hate halo for that exact reason. maybe the reason they made them bullet sponges is because the AI is such a giant piece of crap they didn't want to do anything else. I would take a very smart AI with more realistic ballistics all the time compared to bullet sponge repetitive garbage.
There's a live-action series about how the whole thing goes down. Vid above is a trailer but Amazon Prime has the full length half hour feature. Apparently this is the first of 4. Amazon Link - have to be a Prime member
Now I know what doing this afternoon!! The more videos I watch from the capture event the less I'm excited for the damage model. So really really really really wish there was a hard core version
or at least different server types where one would be bullet spongey and others are more a few hits will kill and various levels of how spongey.
For anybody thinking about getting it you can log in to this page and redeem the code AGENTORIGINS to get some free in-game gear.
... in a point where society has broken down many of the police skills seem like they would be less useful. most firefights have paramedic training. so those 2 are probably the most wanted.
When I was in the Marines with PMO, police training for me involved a lot of hand to hand combat, using melee tools such as a asp as well as hand irons, room clearing, felony vehicle stops, and lots of range time.
