    We had a server up for rof for awhile, and I think we had around 10 peeps playing at one point. I'd be up for some more if it. I set up an easy to use dogfight map where all planes were available.

    I'll see if I can get it up and running again if you're up for it.

    Rise of Flight is currently holding a big sale until the 1st of June. Everything except Ilya Muromets and the upcoming S-16 is 70% off. The sale is both on steam and their website

    Upcoming update at the beginning of June with a pack of bug fixes, In particular, they are addressing the broken gunner system.

    Following up on Ilya Muromets they are adding the S-16 fighter created by the renowned aircraft designer Igor Sikorsky, Russia’s very first mass-production fighter plane with a machine-gun synchronizer.

    Developer Diary 100 brought some good news about price changes and when early access starts

    BoS Standard Edition - $49.99
    BoS Premium Edition - $79.99
    BoS will get a map expansion this Fall. It will contain seasonal maps for the earlier stages of the battle along with corresponding Campaign Chapters.

    BoM Standard Edition is now avaible. You’ll be able to pre-order a Standard for $49.99 starting June 22nd - the day when Operation Barbarossa was unleashed on the Soviet Union in 1941.

    Early access to BoM is scheduled to begin in July. BoM pre-order owners will enter the Early Access stage inside the virtual cockpit of the I-16 also known as the “Rata”.
    Note that owners of the BoM Standard Edition will get their early access invitations a little later in October, according to the current plan. And here’s what to expect from the first months of early access:
    • July - I-16 Type 24
    • August - MC.202 Series VIII
    • September - P-40 E -1
    • October - Bf 109 E-7
    • November - Bf 110 E-2
    Release dates for the other 5 planes will be published later during the early access period.

    I was considering to get some flight sim for ps so kids could fly a bit. Flying is nice because there's like no gore etc. about it.

    Then after taking a look at console flight games (note, not sims since they don't exist) I almost vomited.

    They're all played from third person etc. and so.

    There was one exception, IL-2 Birds of Prey. Actually flying from interior view etc. I bet Microsoft and Sony must've shat all over the room when they learnt that it wasn't going to be 3rd person.

    But the thought of using the console controller for flight sim seemed stupid and it was only going to be even harder for kids so I let it go and am going to get something for the PC instead at some point and just stream it to living room.

    Warthunder is on Ps4 I believe, free to play to start which is nice. You can play that in 3rd or first person depending on preference and game mode.

    Yes, WT is on PS4 and have access to everything. They even play on the same server as the PC. They have an * in front of their names.

    IL-2 Birds of prey is the game that war thunder is based off I believe.

    Ah, thanks, that's good to know. Been thinking of PS4 and this is definitely a 'for' argument though I'd need to look for a PS & PC joystick.

    PS4 does not officially support any joystick (thats what i understood from looking around) but there are several that seem to work anyway.

    They are trying to tell you that PC is better. If you look around you should find some that work. TM seems to work.
