2nd largest college in the US. definitely not compensating for anything. hard not to have schools with the same colors these days. Unless you want to be retarded and be like Boise State. Also just got a email stating that my exhaust should be shipping off this Monday.
The exhaust already sounds really good but with the one I'm getting its going to be so much better. This is what it should sound like, except the one in the video doesn't have a aftermarket intake so the turbo noises are really subdued because of it. Mine right now you can hear everything easily, wastegate, blow off valve, and turbo spoiling.
But red goes faster. Also, got an update on my MINI. Because of the fucking hurricane, I won't be picking it up this week like they had told me, I'll be picking it up on the 21st at the earliest. Fuck weather.
So, according to the guy I just talked to, the GTI isn't even OFFICIALLY released yet, not till September. They just seeded a handful of them around the country to whet people's appetite. That's why it's so hard to find any with the lighting and performance package. Womp womp!
Fuck hurricanes. Right in the eye. Because of Hurricane Imagiantbitch that moved up the east coast a couple weeks ago, my car left England a week late, meaning I have to wait another damn week.
He sucks as much as Flessar's assassins. The ship made it to port on July 4 (a fitting time for my British car to invade the States) but everything's backed up because of the hurricane.
He got sleepy and needed a nap Supposedly APR/ABR/whatever have been able to get nearly 400 hp out of the GTI engine
I'm struggling with the "PP (performance pack) or no PP" dilemma. I like the thought of having better traction in inclement conditions, as I often seem to be caught out in heavy rain, ice, and snow. Plus I have the memory of getting sideways on the highway with a semi coming straight at my door. Granted that was a rear wheel drive BMW. I also have a hell of a time getting my car in the garage a few days out of the year in winter. BUT, I am never going to be on a track, and I am not a crazy speed freak driver on backroads... And if I don't get the PP I could get the car sooner and $1500 cheaper...
Limited slip differential, 10 hp, increased brake size in front and much increased in back. Brakes sound like all they really provide is less fade. LSD is the main thing
For everyday driving I don't think it would be worth the extra. Guess you really need to decide now what you're going to do with it. If it's going to turn into a Chris-mobile then get it now cause it'd be way more expensive to do that later on. If you're just going to drive and commute then I wouldn't worry about it.
Plus, if I do the deal now, I get an extra $1000 on my trade in and VW gives me $1000 back for buying a new car with a turbo. No clue what the incentives will be in December
