Just wanted to show off for a moment, I know Chris at least will appreciate this.

This is our latest full-build project: A 1973 Yamaha R5 frame with a Yamaha Banshee engine in a flat-track replica package.

2 cylinder 2-stroke engine, 350cc big-bored to about 385cc. GP racer expansion chambers, dual 28mm Mikuni carbs, Boyesen dual-stage power reeds, almost everything not essential to running the engine stripped off to save weight. The headlight is actually an accessory foglight from an auto parts store and it and the taillight are run straight from the magneto - no battery or switches. Kick start only.

Bottom line - once it gets tuned in correctly, we should have about 80-85 horsepower in a 270 lb bike. It is scary. I probably won't ever ride it.

    Okay maybe just once.

Very nice. At first when I read the 80-85 hp I thought "What the fuck, that's not power." Then I read the 270 lbs and went "Oh, shit. That thing is about 1/15 the weight of my Camaro."

2 strokes are also very peaky in their power delivery, they are usually pretty lazy until they hit a certain power band and then they rev like hell. It can be a little disconcerting on a tightly tuned street bike. You ride easy, thinking "hey, this isn't so bad, let's rev it up a little and OH MY GOD IT'S RIPPING MY ARMS OUT!"

You don't need arms. Just pretend it's a horse and steer with your knees. You'll be fine. Smokey is not responsible for the terrible, fiery death that occurs when people heed his advice.

I think there's a reason people would use reins on horseback when possible...

Ok, horses scare the crap out of me.

One of our friends took us out to see her horses when we visited her. The one freaking time I get near a horse.. probably the last. They didnt tell me there would be no fence between me and the horse. 20 feet or so before we get there she says "The big one can be aggressive sometimes. Be careful." 10 fucking seconds later, horse walks quickly up to me, turns his head to the side so he can get closer, and has his freaking eyeball about a foot away from my face staring me down. Proceeded to make me feel like a scared 6 year old girl.

:unamused: I walked backwards until I got back to the house and drank a lot of beer.... :unamused:

    Never again... :unamused:

I stay away from horses. Something that could kill you with a kick is not something I want to be near. I do, however, want to fight a bear.

Horses are indeed scary creatures. Fell of one as a kid and had to go to the hospital to get my head sewn up. Since then i can hardly go near horses anymore.

    Sausage ain't, meat, its scraps...

...very good tasting scraps, but scrapes nonetheless.

There once was a butcher in Germany. He was very talented, and sold many varieties of sausage, liverworst, and other meat products in the store on the first floor of his house.

One night, the butcher couldn't sleep so he went downstairs for a drink (of mead).

As he was descending the stairs, he heard moaning coming from the store. Curious, he poked his head through the door.

In the store he saw his young daughter, masturbating with a long length of sausage. The man watched for but a moment, before he turned, fetched the mead, and drank himself to sleep.

The next day, the man was tending his store when a village regular came in.

"I'd like some of your finest sausage please."

The man sighed and replied, "Sorry, we're all out of sausage."

Confused and slightly irritated, the woman pointed to the sausage hanging on the hook behind him. "Then what is that behind you?"

Without even turning, the man replied, "My Son-in-law."

    :D
