Pathfinder Anchovy Campaign

so... it'd have to be Friday night if I was to do it (of the days given) and most likely I'd miss every other one during the summer (if not more) but I'd have a ton of fun with something like this, it'd be interesting to see what all the characters will use to establish common ground, I mean, most parties at least have similar bipedal somewhat humanoid appearances XD I'll have to do some research and figure out what I'd like to play though ^.^

 

I would probably change poison so its dc increases by 1 every other level, so 14 at 3, 15 at 5 etc, it would keep it from falling off late-game without being overly strong.

 

better still, see if Demon could dream up some race specific feats relating to the poison, also, look into multi-dexterity XD (8 armed backstab, even with 1d3 small dagger damage, would be brutal XD, especially if you could coat your weapons with your poison XD)

I think I have something, though I'll need some approval/suggestions before I commit to it... but I can just see the faces on anyone who views this party... a bizarre concoction of creatures one of which appears to be carrying a mug of mead... which is conversing with them.

Awakened, Amber Ooze XD (two seperate links, in case the comma isn't enough distinction one for the 'awakened spell' and the other for the Amber Ooze, should make interrogations interesting XD)

 

I just so happen to be a level 20 Rogue who specializes in ridiculousness. I'll look into making something for this. I'll post it soon.

yup! That's one of the reasons I went with the amber ooze, it's a single hd monster XD (that, and sentient mead just -screams- 'borg )

 

so, looking at the ooze stats, it seems the base monster has a +4 to con and a -6 to str, that seems a bit harsh, I'm thinking a PC would be more appropriate with a +2/-2, str isn't going to be a major asset to a diminutive character anyway XD (a diminutive greatsword is 1d6 damage , of course, that is assuming that as an ooze I can -use- a weapon of any kind XD)

 

actually that's probably correct, monster templates generally adjust strength as a result of changes in size, ooze is basically a big amoeba, they can manipulate stuff with pseudopods but I'm pretty sure they can't pick things up with them. I suppose that would be up to Demon, maybe I could take a feat to be able to form apendages *shrug*

Alright, the stat modifiers do include size modifications. That said, an amoeba isn't likely to pick up much of anything anyway. The biggest question is what is the intelligence of an Amber Ooze? I show it as non-intelligent (base) but what stats are we looking at and how is your backstory going to work with that?

The awakened state from the spell (as linked, which appears to be 3.5), from the description I have, wouldn't cause this effect. It specifically creates animate spells.

Now, that isn't saying no. That is saying you need a really good reason to have this work. Also, do you really want to be the size of a frog stuck in a mug and not able to do anything?

 

An awakened spell's Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores are now each 3d6. Its type remains Ooze. An awakened spell can’t serve as an animal companion, familiar, or special mount.
for some reason I didn't realize a living spell was an actual creature, but either way, I don't really see any reason you couldn't apply the same effects (as per a spell with a slightly different target) to any appropriate ooze as all it really does is grant consciousness.

As I mentioned, the effect Damion is listing is not actually a Pathfinder version. But, more importantly, I need a great reason why someone would animate their mead.
