    Personally id say off for a week or so because last some military were getting close to us for comfort. But there needs to be a general consensus

    We are happy to announce that Space Engineers is going to be released for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program and it will remain exclusive on Xbox One for twelve months. The news was first announced live during the Xbox news briefing at gamescom 2014.

    i'm assuming that mean exclusive to xbox one before going to other consoles. because the pc version is probably still their best way of testing.

    having the npcs on makes the game far from boring. i enjoy the frenzy of needing to protect assets. I think if we make a team effort, we can protect everything that matters. some people haven't logged on in months. i don't think they have much room to complain

    redacted: NPC ships are spawning in huge groups now. best to remove them :sad:

    i think in the files (well i read it in a mod that changes alot of npc ships that they changed the frequency of how often they show up) so somewhere you should be able to change some of the stuff. none of the mods we got do anything with the npc ships though. as far as i can tell and even if they did it should only be structural things nothing was done to the scripting.

    fet makes a good point. is it possible for us to adjust the spawn rate with the server extender?

    Not yet. I'm sure there will be lots of tweaks once the game and the server extender are out of beta.

    Now it's possible to remotely access the control panel screen and inventory when the ship/station is in your antenna range. Antenna relay is taken into account. Press open control panel screen to see it (combo box at the top), or press SHIFT+K. New ‘Button Panel’ allows you to assign actions to the panel (like with astronaut toolbar) and then execute these actions by simply pressing the corresponding button on the model in game.
    We also added more glass parameters and modding support for custom projectiles, debris models, asteroid materials and armor edges. Last but not least HUD voices are here to warn you of meteor showers, low energy/health, etc.

    and apparently the guy who does the fighter wings and such (the arc drop battery the saber engine and similar stuff aka embershard industries) has made retractable landing gear in conjunction with someone else.

    "Hideaway" Retractable Landing Gear (Made in conjunction with Shaostoul Corporations Rotor Division.)

    Today, we have proper retractable landing gear. Working with the Shaostoul Corporation Rotor Department, we've combined the best features of rotors and landing gear, to give you a supremely compact but functional landing gear. It all fits in one block space. The set comes in two parts. A stator and a foot pad. The stators come preset at 0 degrees. Set lower limits on all gear to 0 degrees, and upper limits to 90 degrees for maximum functionality. Extend the rotors leg and attach the pad. Unfortunately, the game engine hasn't given ability to transfer a key press through the rotors, so manual locking through the terminal is required. Both a large and small version of these retractable landing gear has been added, so they'll work on your large ships also.     In light of Varg shutting down the server (totally understandable given the situation), I am suspending my SE activities until the game's multiplayer gets a little more stable. I will come back to it, I'm sure, but the game needs some stability issues resolved first.

    wait what? not that i have a problem with it being shut down. the few times i have tried to get on over the past 2 weeks it almost crashes right when i try to get on. i wonder if it is related to the mod blocks somehow (needing to load them each time someone logs on?). i'd say wait 2 weeks and see where it's at.
