I don't know a lot about it, but the game seems to be a counter to Destiny. From what I know it is a similar style. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad game, just maybe not aimed at the typical Tom Claney game buyer
Betas started going out, one friend posted up the invite message on instagram, I've not seen anything yet but hopefully some of us start getting them soon.
Apparently I applied for the beta, because I got a key earlier today. I'll let y'all know how it is. If you get in too, my UPlay ID is Derak_Darksun.
Supposedly a lot of people are pre-ordering to get the Beta key then cancelling the transaction before it goes through from etailers like Amazon. Enough that I saw some gaming outlets write articles about it
one would think you would have to actually have purchased the game? or is it like the, spend 5 dollars to preorder and get beta access then pay the rest later on release date.
Supposedly it's the new 'thing' to do when games offer Beta access. You 'pay' for the game via preorder, but the key gets sent out before the payment is processed and you cancel the payment/preorder. That way you get free Beta access to see if you like the game.
But that would void the terms of the contract of paying for said service that was rendered. which means they are technically stealing a service/product. im sure people in the games industry are taking notice and will do things differently. but they could just be incompetent and see it as "free advertising".
You will not bring that common sense stuff in here... the point is, the purchasing party is supposed to have full intention of paying for the end product.. which is why the key is given. but they don't have full intention of buying said game, only receiving a service that wasn't paid for but had supposedly full intention in paying for said service. all they are doing is giving more fuel for the DRM shenanigans that will eventually come because if there stupidity. they are stealing which companies have legal rights to go after them at this point.
on a side note... maybe this is all a plan so Microsoft can try out there new toys with windows 10 and locking down illegal games.
