    Is there a mod for the Chinook? One that works with the lifter mod? Just curious about getting something that can extract a damaged tank or arty piece if shit ever hits the fan on SRS BSNS. Although the Mohawk may be able to handle that kind of load. We may just have to look into finding one of those for our shenanigans.

    Chinook and Ch 49 can lift up to a Marshall. Kamysh might be pushing it. Slammer/Scorcher/Bobcat is right out.

    Now.. if we can lift a repair HEMTT...

    Back when I played with units both in arma 2 and arma 3 we used JSRS and that was pretty darn sweet. Is Speed of sound anywhere near that or better?

    I'd suggest you go check it out. it was our go to mod for sounds of weapons, explosions and everything. that combined with blastcore. which die smoke and everything pretty darn awesome. Also I noticed there is no ACE and ACRE.

    personally I can highly recommend ACE and ACRE (or Advance Combat Enviroment) and ( Advance Combat Radio Enviroment) ACE just makes interacting with everything easier and ACRE makes it realistic when it comes to radio and talking. It basically makes you not able to hear people in teamspeak unles they are close to you and are pushing the push to talk for voice talk ingame, and over the radio you can only hear people in the same channel as you.
    Just thought I'd put them there.

    ACE and ACRE are awesome but none of those are released yet. There are ways to get the test version of ACRE for A3 though but i have no idea about ACE

    There is no ACE, but we are looking at a Radio system. Probably not ACRE though as it seems to have quite a few issues.

    I didnt find any issues with ACRE when i tried it even though i had a newer version of TS that was not supposed to work with ACRE

    The other option for radio systems is Task Force Radio, I've not played around with either radio mod that much even with having a dedicated TFR channel system on the other TS I admin. Its mainly just been there as a compatibility test for the mods they develop on the server rather than something we use regularly.

    We are constantly trying to keep things as simple as possible for players to setup. With as much difficulty as we have getting people to download a pre done mod pack for the server anything that isn't foolproof to install and setup is not likely to be added. As awesome as a radio mod would be, and with a number of us who would really enjoy it, unless it works all the time with little to no fuss we have to balance towards the side of practicality over realism.

    I've tried both ACRE and task force radio, and personally I prefer Acre, it's easier to deal with, and We've had less hassel with it. Task force radio has been more wonky with other mods than ACRE has.

    Mobile mortars! Do want. It does have a notice on that page that the mortars can't be fired while moving or the truck will explode, which should keep things pretty balanced.

    I do love a good technical! Varg, I'm thinking we might have to put your helicopter recovery skills to good use with one of these mounting an AA launcher.

    I'm curious to see if ALiVE will make use of that. A 'stan map with Tribal-Fighter technicals would be awesome.

    Manual only, unless there's a .cfg entry for vehicles with weapons already mounted or a way to script the mount in the init field. :unamused:
