We all want an Axe, but there's only one of him. You could go for the slightly newer Gab model instead.
Miyamoto Musashi? and now (if they still have the nations thing in. I see no reason why they shouldn't) I'm going to have to name a japanese ranger that.
They said they are releasing modding tools at launch or shortly after. Also it will be steam workshop capable.
I'm going to name all my rangers Drizzt. Which is a step up from my first thought, naming them all after power rangers.
you could always name them after the stereotypes of the rangers. Black Ranger (nickname could be "why's it gotta be black" if that fits), Red Ranger, Jew Blue Ranger, and so on. and now I feel slightly horrible.
Any game that is developed just for PC yet isn't modder friendly seems like a bad idea to me. Wait, since when is Drizzt better than the Power Rangers?
Actually it does take some extra effort to make a game moddable. For instance Unity builds are themselves built so that they're immensely difficult to mod because the company making Unity has placed several anti-reverse engineering tricks into the builds so that devs would be safe from their work being exploited or stolen so Unity devs actually need to work extra time to build a modding interface to their projects. Which costs money and is away from the core development. Note that modding interface doesn't help a developer in any way to make the game since builtin assets load in a fraction of the time of extra addons.
they could always go the space engineers route. still in alpha and released the source code to public to get modders more involved even to the point of total conversions (also so people could do bug fixing that the company hasn't gotten around to because they are doing other stuff. like building planets. and revamping the entire multiplayer code while still adding content. and some stuff from modders is getting merged into the game. I think they do get paid because KEEN set aside $100,000 just for modders. grants with no strings attached, kickstarter stuff for total conversions as long as it pertains to space engineers). and the 2nd class for xcom2 has an article. the specialist is an evolution of the support class. healing and hacking. computer hacking. the specialist can use an airborne drone called the 'gremlin' also there is a video for the ranger class in the article. it's not youtube so I have no idea if there is a way to put it on the forums.
Shit, I didn't know of the Space Engineers thing. That's a real thing! Pretty awesome thing it is as it is. Raises thoughts..
I suppose it must've taken a couple of sit downs to reach that decision. I mean, that's like scary as hell for everyone and not least to programmer co-founders. "Hey, let's let everyone the direct code to steal and copy our shit" I know I'd be freaking out at that point especially if it wasn't an instant success! Lose all the money and your competition can rip your mechanisms and techniques for their clone game that can potentially surpass your game if you fail to secure enough funding. If that happened it would be really, really bad.
I always thought it was part funny and part pathetic that Walter Jones and Thuy Trang literally got fired from their jobs because people thought they were cast in racist roles. The Black guy was the black ranger and the Asian girl was the yellow ranger, but instead of somehow punishing the producers, lets complain and hurt the people being "oppressed". Fun fact though, in the Japanese version, which all the action shots were taken from, the yellow ranger was a guy, hence no breasts or skirt. Funny thing, nobody whined when the white ranger was a White guy.
red ranger was native american green was irish (well at least an irish name) pink was white female also she just had to be a gymnast. the american version is insanely racist/stereotyped
