A re-shoot this "early" in production isn't to crazy nor unheard of. Probably just started doing rough cuts and realized that some things might not have meshed well. I am not worried at all in the long run, since Disney has showed time and time again they can do well with existing IPs. I don't think that the movie will be "action and happiness" but I do think they might go for a step up from what they alluded to in the trailer. Unless they plan on making it a series of movies (which I doubt but wish for) I think they need to end it with some upbeat thoughts, but all of this is merely speculation. Having said all of that I have been eagerly awaiting the movie even so just look at what I finished last night....
No, war is supposed to be fun and happy with lots of flowery happy moments. you think i trained to kill people in the marines.. oh hell no. we had Traditional tea ceremony training because thats totally logical for going to war. had tea and biscuits with them in the middle of a field. i think they should do both versions and show both of them.
How about I link this for awesomeness "During the Battle of Yavin 4 the Rebellion kill ratio was 12 to 1. We shot down 12 of their TIE fighters for every one of ours. On Hoth, that ratio fell to 3 to 1. Our pilots had become dependent upon Proton torpedoes. They had lost some of their dogfighting skills. Now, the school was created to teach ASCM... Air & Space Combat Maneuvering. Dogfighting. By the Battle over Endor’s end, that ratio was back to 12 to 1." - Wedge Antilles - Rogue Squadron leader"
NO LAGCAT ITS GOING TO BE TERRIBLE AND EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE "Fears that the heavy-duty war movie is being watered down into a lighthearted caper are unfounded, according to what EW has learned. “The movie is very different than [The Force Awakens], and that’s intentional,” one source says. “It’s a war film.” Rumors that Disney executives have forced the changes to make the movie more family friendly are also false. According to EW’s sources, there have been no test screenings, and it’s unlikely there ever will be on a Star Wars film." cough. cough.
it's always been impressive to me how totally hands-off Disney is with the franchises it buys, and just letting the people at Marvel, Pixar, and now Lucasfilm just do their thing. Even little things like not putting the Disney logo at the front of Force Awakens points to that.
Going to head this one off at the pass... apparently someone posing as a member of the team went to small shredding claiming to be a member of the production team... his stories didn't jive with what is the well known about it and he comes of as a bit of a troll.... however the media blogosphere has picked it up as fact so ill just link you to the original post.
No... since the introduction of the centurion tank they have though so basically late 1945 after the war was over
