I am seriously enamored with the Panzerknacker (Hs129-B3). Though anything that can one-shot heavy tanks out off the box ought to have a place in anyone's heart-space. As for my D-5, I don't think it's fully upgraded just yet. Missing a few modules for that.
All good guys, Fet's going to help me test this evening. Though I don't own the plane myself, I have heard the BOOM-CRASH from ~100m away as it engages another tank... it's a lovely sound, to be sure.
I very much enjoyed my outing with SG2, well except for the wings falling off my Stuka. So I would definitely like to join a GMT based wing.
Had a beastly match in my B3 in historical a few hours ago where I won Bulge by going back to the airfield 3 times just so that I could kill every single tank on the map. Scored all but one before I was attacked by the last enemy on the map and died, but he was a B-25 diving from a few thousand, so he didn't pull up in time after he scored me in the cockpit, leaving [Shoji] to win the game for our team. Go [Shoji]!!
You can look for them in decals mode and it will show what you need to do and what plane to use. You can buy them with eagles too. If i remember right you need to use mostly stukas and kill certain amount of targets with bombs for the SG2 emblems.
All the skins (at least for the B-2 for sure, not sure about the others) are rewards for ground targets destroyed in that plane, with a multiplier for Realistic battles and an even bigger one for Simulator. Incidentally if I remember correctly the names for the skins are wrong; one or two of the correct SG 2 emblems are labelled StG 2 instead for some bizarre reason. The black puppy on the red circle background emblem on the right side of the plane is the one you want. ^^
So this just happened to me, 10 minutes ago. I was flying my B-2 in Realistic and successfully bombed a light pillbox. Heading home, nice and low (and fast), 200m altitude. A MiG-3 dives on me and takes out my rear gunner before I can even start shooting. I have no time to make evasive actions, and he shreds my poor little Stuka. Then crashes into me. (I asked in chat and it turns out he'd had too much to drink. Typical Russians! )
SQUADRON LOGBOOK: 14 January 2014 Another successful series of sorties, this time with the US time groups (and a few GMTers)! Quite a bit of anti-shipping practice but a decent amount of ground attack too; I must say looking out to my 5 o'clock after my run and seeing multiple Stukas streaking down from the heavens towards enemy ships is a sight to behold. The Ju 87 R-2 is definitely a contender for best anti-shipping plane on account of the 1000kg bomb it can mount. I was also impressed at the dogfighting displayed against the enemy AI, and it's nice to see people are getting the hang of their planes and finding out what they're capable of. All told, a solid practice and very enjoyable. Geschwaderkommodore Deathwatch, signing off~
I... I think I'm going to commit to it, and try my damn best to get over the learning curve of forsaking the mouse and using my HOTAS and Realistic, with my Stuka. I've gotten far enough along in the tech trees that I need a break from the cray that is Arcade, and it and the mouse teach me horrible habits I need to unlearn.
Did setting the controls to Full Aircraft Controls fix your wobble issue? (by killing the instructor) If you need any help let me know since I spent the summer using a HOTAS on my dad's pc. ^^
