So on the space engineers wiki (wikia wiki) it says there are plans to make a large ship version of the drill
So. Did they finally patch in a dedicated server set up? In that case I'll actually start playing, because I can hop on whenever.
someone has to run a server on their own machine but yes there are dedicated servers now (we haven't gotten one yet)
Iron Ore 90% ratio Silicon Ore 70% ratio Nickel Ore 40% ratio Cobalt Ore 30% ratio Silver Ore 10% ratio Gold Ore 1% ratio Magnesium Ore .7% ratio Uranium Ore .7% ratio Platinum Ore .5% ratio these are the refine ratios on the wiki page (obviously I didn't include stone)
he may have. I don't think eats up much memory but not sure. hell the uncompressed world size is only 23ish MB.
Finally getting the hang of things. Built myself a nice little light fighter, I call it the Shortsword.
I just found a space engineers companion app for phones that has what x block needs in parts. The app is missing some stuff like the welder
Looking at a thread for blocks that are in but usable at all (hidden files) I see rails radar a large ship drill helium element and ice element. And ice makes water which makes oxygen. So very possibly in the future you could pressurize a ship (theory of course)
That's pretty cool. I can't wait for some more Large Ship weapons and equipment. Also, I made a scavenge/tug ship, it's pretty neat. This is the "back" of the ship, but it's got it's own cockpit to make hooking up to the derelict easier. And here's the "front" of the ship. Top view Interior shots Spoiler
My guess with radars (or antennas) would be it will let you designate targets for your turrets. Otherwise they will operate like they do now
we are working on it. i think last i checked we need to assign the SoR steamgroup ID to the server so members can join. we need to get that from Dihm
1.033 patch Players are now able to permanently merge ships and stations of the same block size by using the merge block which is responsible for proper alignment. When a ship is merged with a station, ship becomes the station. Stations can be now converted to ships, but the blocks which are partially inside asteroids will get damaged or destroyed. Also, we have redesigned and upgraded our multi-player code. This results in a more stable multi-player with less lag. This is important especially for rotors, wheels and similar objects. Features - merge block - conversion of station to ship - news box in main menu - colorable cockpit - added “number of servers” to join screen Fixes - redesigned and upgraded multi-player code - fixed issues with character in cockpit - fixed group checking on server - fixed indestructible decoys on dedicated servers - fixed warheads staying after being destroyed on dedicated servers - fixed issue with small ship gatling guns not connecting to conveyor system - fixed loading screen time - fixed turret targeting lag - fixed material resources not being displayed - fixed angled glass bleeding through - fixed issue with asteroids being transparent from various angles - fixed issues with medical rooms not working so mitlan it looks like there may have been a bug that was affecting you with the med station.
DEDICATED SERVER IS UP AND WORKING! THANK YOU, VARG! NOTE: you must be a member of the SoR steamgroup in order to join.
No problem. Well. Minor problem. The server crashed yesterday and had to be restarted. Not sure if save data is intact or not. Also not sure there's a way for me to remotely set up a save-point and back it up. Let me know if anything is missing. Nobody's been on since I restarted the server.
The space engineers team patches weekly (for the most part) every thursday. and I guess depending on how the dedicated servers are done (or where they are? like on someones actual computer the game might be updated automatically though the server would still have to be restarted.) they have to be patched manually. so since thursday none of us can even get in the server right now because of version mismatch. And I just tried getting in a few minutes ago to see if the server may have patched when it was down. it didn't. I do have a save from wednesday night of the server if the server didn't save before it crashed. but right now I have to do some yard work and not even sure how I would get that save to you.
