    Rey's use of the force was wayyyyy too much of a deus ex machina to tolerate.

    Another reason I'm assuming Kylo Ren is still alive, they never went in to any of his backstory. How the heck did he get Vader's helmet? Why did he get it, why did he associate with his grandfather instead of his uncle? Why did he associate with the dark side version of Anakin and not the 'redeemed Anakin' we see at the end after his death? WTF is Snoke?

    Also, I'm saddened not to see Darth Binks

    Also at the end Snoke tells the general to "bring Kylo to him to complete his training". I don't think they would have bothered including that scene if Kylo dies.

    Also i wonder if finn is related to mace windu or lando. Who apparently are the only black people in the universe and finn of course so 3 now.Black must be rare in the star wars universe. Also asians. Where are the asians?

    Yes, Han and Leia's son, so Anakin is his grandfather. BUT, he was trained by Luke, and is the one who killed all of Luke's new apprentices. Why Luke did nothing to stop it I dunno. Did LUKE take his father's helmet as a memorial after the funeral pyre, and Ben/Kylo stole it? Further, who are Rey's parents? At the end of the movie I was thinking, 'Well shit, that look that Leia gave her and the hug when they came together, is she Leia's daughter and brother/half-brother to Kylo?' There didn't seem to be any communication verbally whether they knew each other or not, and Maz (?) the little old lady said she recognized her eyes or some such. Maybe she's Luke's daughter?

    i think rey just barely brushed his face and only left a surface scar/burn. I thought he was about to lose a hand and maybe a leg. Seems to be the skywalker thing to do. Lose body parts. Also thought finn would have lost when using the lightsaber because luke lost his hand while using it and anakin lost an arm and both legs.

    All this talk of being confused with Ep VII's place in the universe... Doesn't it feel like Jar Jar Abrams started us off in the middle of the plot again? I feel like we needed an entire movie to lead up to this one. Something that explains why Kylo identifies with Darth Vader and not Anakin, how Luke lost control of him, why Luke went into exile. How Han lost the Falcon, how Han and Leia got distanced. Maybe go into Rey being abandoned on Jakku. The battle of Jakku perhaps. Something about the transition from the empire to the First Order. Where they got the means to build Starkiller Base. Why all the first order duders follow some young 20-something ginger. Who Snoke is and how he fits into the line of succession of Sith Lords. Why Poe Dameron really is the ace reisstance pilot. What the resistance even is and its origins. The origins of the new republic. Finn's indoctrination into the First Order.

    I assume they were going to do all that in Episode VIII... which seems like an odd choice. But 'throw them in and explain it later/never' is the JJ Abrams style

    You say "Magical Hand waving" and I hope you are saying that with respect. Part of the problem with the Pre(shit)quals is they tried to be *too* clever explaining things and tying things together. Darth Vader built C-3PO. Give me a fucking break. That almost bugs me more that Midichlorians. Almost.

    One of the GREATEST things about the Harry Potter novels, (and Star Wars as opposed to Star Trek) is they DONT try to explain the magic. When you try to pulls OZ's curtain back, it just destroys the magic and wonder.

    Star Wars is NOT science fiction. Never was, never will be. It's fantasy.

    ben is his given name. He is ben solo or ben organa no one is sure on last name but his name is ben. And as almost everything else is homage to the original trilogy that certainly would be.
